What else can I commission?

Besides the things listed above I can also do some other weird stuff. For example, I can make like a dumb soundboard website or you know, something like this page. Here's a list of stuff I might be able to make.

What are all these price ranges about?

Most of the time, the price will exactly what's marked on the left. However, if, say, the character has some complicated design that will take me more time to draw, I might raise the price a little bit to compensate. Alternatively, if it's a character I absolutely love, I might lower the price a bit (If said character is Fleur it is automatically the lowest price). The price range does not include the extra price for complicated backgrounds.

What's a simple background?

A simple background is anything I can draw in 10 minutes (useless information for you). It basically excludes anything that contains buildings or structures that are close or really just anything that I have to draw lineart for. It doesn't mean it has to be a solid color though - I can usually paint simple landscape really fast so tell what you are looking for and I maybe able to add it for free!

What do you mean by slightly NSFW?

Something that'll probably be ok at the beach. Real answer is whatever I say is slightly NSFW.

By sending me an order you confirm that you have read and accept the terms of service.

Terms of Service

  1. General terms

    • Prices are subject to change based on demand.
    • I have the right to reject any order for any reason.

  2. Payment

    • Payment is accepted through Ko-Fi or Paypal.
    • Commissions can be paid either 100% upfront or split 50% upfront and 50% after sketch approval.
    • Don't send me any payment before I have agreed to give you a slot and requested you to send me the payment.

  3. Delivery

    • The time it takes to finish your commission varies between 1-2 weeks depending on factors such as health, the complexity of the commissioned piece, and other work. You will get an estimated time after your order is accepted (before you pay).
    • The final deliverable will be
      • A full-resolution image file with no watermark (in PNG format). A smaller image may be requested.
      • A watermarked image file (in PNG format) if applicable.
      • If requested beforehand, a PSD file with the character and background layer separated might be available.

  4. Revisions

    • You get 3 rounds of changes on the commissioned piece included in the price.
    • A fee may be added if you want something changed on the final drawing - unless a misunderstanding from my side has been made.

  5. Copyright & Usage

    • I, Chao (the artist):

      • reserve the right to cancel and refund the order at any time for any reason.
      • retain all copyrights over the commissioned artwork.
      • will NOT claim the intellectual property (IP) of the commissioned artwork.
      • will NOT profit further from the commissioned artwork unless you (the customer) break any of the terms.
      • reserve the right to post the commissioned artwork online, in my portfolio as well as in publications such as art books.

    • You (the customer/commissioner):

      • may upload the commissioned artwork on any website and social channels with credit.
      • may NOT make profits from the commissioned piece (reselling, redistributing, uploading to POD-services, make prints, etc.)
      • may NOT alter the commissioned artwork without my (the artist's) consent.
      • retain the rights to the intellectual property (IP).
      • may NOT use the commissioned artwork for commercial purposes.

    • The following is considered copyright infringement:

      • Reproducing/using the copyrighted artwork commercially - means making money off it in any way not excluded from these terms.
      • Claiming the artwork as your own.
      • Altering the artwork without my consent.
    • In some cases, the commercial rights to the image may be purchased.

  6. Cancellation & Refund Policy

    • The buyer is not allowed a refund once I started working on the commission.
    • If for any reason I am unable to start your commission you will receive a full refund.
    • If you cancel your order before I start it, you can get a full refund.
    • If you are getting a refund, do not request a Paypal chargeback. I will transfer the money back to you myself.
    • If you request a Paypal chargeback at any point when you were not allowed to ask for a refund you will lose all beforementioned rights to the commissioned piece and I will have the full right to profit further from it in any way. I will decline the chargeback and supply Paypal with our conversations in which we talk about the commission as evidence that I have completed work for you. Furthermore, you will be banned from commissioning me again.

I will usually respond within 24 hours. We will discuss details and negociate the price for the commission. If we agree on the details and pricing, I will accept the commission and place you in a slot.

Payment

After the commission is accepted, 50% payment will be requested upfront (can also pay 100% upfront). I will start working on your piece after the payment is processed.

Your commission may be placed at a lower priority or cancelled if the payment is not recieved within 72 hours of the order.

I will send a rough sketch for approval, if approved, I will request the remaining 50% of the cost before I continue with the piece.
